        Central Government has issued two notifications (Notification no. 4/2009 and 5/2009 both dated 7-1-2009) for avoidance of double taxable with the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro.

        As per the notifications the convention was singed as on 8-2-2006.

        The union of two countries was disintegrated into two independent states and accordingly, the Government of Republic of Montenegro has adopted the convention as on 3-6-2006. On the other side National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia has ratified the said convention as on 7-11-2007. These conventions would come into force as on 23-9-2008.

        Double taxation avoidance agreements now operative after successive adoption, ratification and entry into force enabling cross-border tax relief.
