Postal electronic exports made eligible for Duty Drawback, RoDTEP and RoSCTL claims; electronic processing enabled from Jan 15, 2026
CBIC has extended Duty Drawback, RoDTEP and RoSCTL applicability to exports effected through the postal mode in electronic form, effective 15 January 2026, by amending the Postal Export (Electronic Declaration and Processing) Regulations, 2022, and issuing an explanatory circular setting operational modalities; this change permits exporters using postal channels to claim those export incentives for eligible consignments, thereby making postal shipments eligible for drawback, remission and rebate benefits. The amendment operationalises electronic processing of postal export declarations and aligns postal exports with existing incentive claim procedures, enabling facilitation of claims and refunds under the stated schemes.
