<h1>WhatsApp cyber fraud using a fake female identity caused Rs. 1.92 crore transfers and arrest for personation.</h1> A WhatsApp relationship led to a Rs 1.92 crore investment scam; an FIR was registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Section 66(D) of the Information Technology Act for cheating by personation. Investigation and arrest revealed the accused used forged Aadhaar and PAN to open multiple bank accounts to receive fraud proceeds; recoveries included fake identity documents and funds, with substantial transactions traced through the accused's accounts and further inquiries to identify other racket members underway.
