<h1>Preservation of rural Buddhist heritage through a new academy combining traditional knowledge, training, and community-based conservation.</h1> A proposed academy for conservation and development of rural Buddhist heritage will be established on five acres at Nagarjunakonda to train administrators, scholars, conservators, skilled workers and local communities, combining traditional knowledge with contemporary conservation practices. The academy's curriculum and pedagogical structure will follow a multidisciplinary roadmap developed through international collaboration, prioritising community-based conservation, transmission of sacred knowledge systems, protection of living and intangible heritage, and linking heritage preservation with rural development and education for heritage management.
