Two alleged Thak-Thak gang members held for distracting drivers, stealing laptop bag; stolen items, scooter recovered
Police in Delhi arrested two alleged members of a so-called 'Thak-Thak' gang accused of committing multiple thefts by distracting car drivers. The arrests followed a complaint by a woman whose laptop bag was stolen from her car on Ring Road on November 21 after two scooter-borne men falsely indicated a problem with her vehicle. A case was registered, surveillance used, and both suspects apprehended on consecutive days. Police recovered the stolen laptop, identity and bank cards, other valuables, and the scooter allegedly used in the crime. The suspects have prior criminal records, including robbery, snatching, cheating, theft, and NDPS Act offences. Further investigation is ongoing.
