        Rare earth permanent magnets scheme funds 6,000 MTPA manufacturing capacity via competitive bids and sales incentives. Approval establishes the Scheme to Promote Manufacturing of Sintered Rare Earth Permanent Magnets with Rs 7,280 crore to create 6,000 MTPA of integrated manufacturing capacity. Capacity will be allocated to five beneficiaries via global competitive bidding, up to 1,200 MTPA each. The scheme duration is seven years from award, comprising a two-year gestation period to set up facilities and five years of incentive disbursement tied to sales of REPM.
