<h1>Domestic airline to invest USD 820 million in IFSC financial arm for direct aircraft ownership via aviation assets</h1> A domestic airline has approved an investment of USD 820 million (approximately Rs 7,270 crore) into its wholly owned financial services subsidiary established in an IFSC for aircraft acquisition. The investment structure will comprise equity shares and 0.01 per cent non-cumulative optionally convertible redeemable preference shares, to be infused in one or more tranches. The subsidiary will use the funds primarily to acquire aviation assets, enabling direct aircraft ownership. The airline currently has a fleet of 411 aircraft, with 365 operational and 46 grounded.
