<h1>Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme expansion drives domestic component production and supply chain resilience through targeted project approvals.</h1> Approval of 17 projects under the Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS) extends targeted support for domestic production of camera modules, multi layer PCBs, enclosures, connectors, oscillators, and optical transceivers, integrating component capacity into the electronics value chain for sectors such as smartphones, telecom, EVs, defence, medical electronics and renewables. Project selection is conditioned on evaluation criteria that prioritise quality systems, value chain integration and MSME participation, combined with structured skilling programs and local supplier linkages to strengthen manufacturing resilience and workforce development.
