of <h1>CBI raids seven premises linked to police DIG, seizes cash, devices and documents alleging disproportionate assets and concealment</h1> The CBI searched seven premises linked to associates of a Punjab police DIG in a disproportionate-assets probe, seizing about Rs 20.5 lakh, digital devices, CCTV DVRs and over 50 property and company-related documents allegedly showing concealment of assets. The agency has booked the accused public servant-already arrested in a bribery case-after prior searches at his residence uncovered large cash, jewellery, luxury watches, property records, vehicles and bank balances suggesting wealth beyond declared income. The FIR alleges acquisition of extensive agricultural and commercial land and states family members may have abetted illicit enrichment; the provisional check period is Aug 1-Oct 17 and may be revised during investigation.
