Minimally invasive intervention resolved congenital hepatic arteriovenous malformation in a newborn, highlighting prenatal diagnosis and multidisciplinary care.
A neonate with a prenatally detected Congenital Hepatic Arteriovenous Malformation underwent coordinated prenatal surveillance, immediate NICU stabilization, and a minimally invasive endovascular embolization. Percutaneous femoral artery catheterization enabled selective hepatic access and embolization with medical-grade adhesive to occlude the predominant vascular nidus, with residual lesion planned for medical management and imaging follow-up. Post-procedural neonatal intensive care included ventilatory support, monitoring, progressive weaning, and initiation of breastfeeding before discharge, illustrating the importance of early diagnosis, multidisciplinary coordination, and interventional radiology.
