<h1>EU-India strategic agenda expands defence, trade and technology cooperation, pursuing a Security and Defence Partnership and balanced free trade.</h1> The EU and India have adopted a strategic agenda to deepen cooperation in defence, trade, technology and connectivity, prioritising maritime security, cyber defence and counterterrorism; pursue a balanced free trade agreement with market access and sustainable development provisions; and work towards a Security and Defence Partnership to facilitate defence-industrial cooperation while jointly upholding multilateralism, international law and the protection of democratic values and human rights.
