Pakistan-based militant leader declared proclaimed offender in 2012 case under sections 153-B and 506 IPC and UAPA
A Baramulla court in Jammu and Kashmir has declared a Pakistan-based militant leader a proclaimed offender in a 2012 case, invoking section 153-B of the Ranbir Penal Code (imputations prejudicial to national integration) and section 506 IPC (criminal intimidation). Police reported issuance of proclamation orders in FIR 67/2012 of PS Dangiwacha, noting the leader is based in Pakistan. An NIA court earlier this year had similarly declared the individual a proclaimed offender under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, following a prior proclamation from a Srinagar court.
