<h1>State receives Rs 47.37 crore central grant to set up 15 Municipal Shared Service Centres for 74 towns</h1> The state government secured a central grant of Rs 47.37 crore to establish 15 Municipal Shared Service Centres (MSSCs) serving 74 Urban Local Bodies, approved under recommendations of the 15th Finance Commission to strengthen urban governance and digital municipal service delivery. The MSSCs will centralize functions including issuance of certificates, trade licenses, property tax and bill collection, accounting, payroll and vendor payments, and doorstep services for smaller towns. Funds will be released in two tranches (50% on sanction, remainder on operationalization); the first installment of Rs 23.68 crore has been disbursed. Self-Help Groups and NGOs will assist ward-level service delivery and outreach.
