Five suspects, including a gang leader wanted in multiple cases (extortion, NDPS violations, dacoity and POCSO-related offences), were arrested after interception of a van; police seized 350 kg of cannabis, two pistols, the vehicle, mobile phones, identity documents and cash. No injuries were reported. Authorities said the NSA invocation aims to curb organized criminality and that investigators will probe backward linkages, including potential connections to Bihar, to dismantle the supply chain.
