Temple priest orders atonement after dignitaries reportedly received ceremonial feast before offering to deity; organisers dispute
A government minister and other dignitaries were accused of breaching temple ritual by receiving a ceremonial feast before it was reportedly offered to the deity; the minister and the temple board president deny any breach, saying attendees followed organisers' instructions. The temple's chief priest sent a letter to the governing board seeking corrective rituals and directed organisers, committee members and officials to appear before the deity, make public offerings and atone, and ordered a prescribed rice feast preparation. Organisers say they were not informed of the ritual requirement at the time and have offered to correct any lapse if established.
