<h1>Board of Approval Grants 28 SEZ Approvals Across Diverse Sectors in Multiple Indian States, Including IT and Biotech.</h1> The Board of Approval for Special Economic Zones (SEZs) granted 18 formal and 10 in-principle approvals during a meeting on September 22, 2008. Formal approvals included projects in various sectors such as aluminium, biotech, IT/ITES, electronics, multi-product, and engineering across states like Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Gujarat, Maharashtra, West Bengal, and Orissa. In-principle approvals were given for multi-services, multi-product, heavy engineering, agro and food processing, airport-based, textile park, building materials, and auto components SEZs in Tamil Nadu, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, and Gujarat.
