The Archives, under the Ministry of Culture and designated the nodal agency for implementation of the Public Records Act, 1993 and Public Records Rules, 1997, has received over 75,500 historically valuable documents from 2021-2025 and currently holds more than 34 crore pages of public records. The curated exhibits emphasize statutory record-keeping obligations, transparency and accountability in public administration, and the legal and institutional role of archival preservation in supporting democratic governance.
