<h1>Central government releases extra Rs 1,01,603 crore tax-devolution instalment to states to boost capital spending and welfare</h1> The central government released an additional tax-devolution instalment of Rs 1,01,603 crore to states, over and above the normal monthly devolution of Rs 81,735 crore scheduled for October 10, to accelerate capital spending and finance development and welfare programmes. One state received an advance instalment of Rs 6,418 crore ahead of the festival season and praised central leadership for the release, saying the funds will help ramp up capital expenditure and support welfare and development schemes.
