Electricity output grew 4.1%. The July IIP was revised up to 4.3% from 3.5%, while April-August IIP growth slowed to 2.8% year-to-date. Capital goods expanded 4.4%, infrastructure/construction jumped 10.6%, but consumer non-durables contracted 6.3% and consumer durables growth moderated. A private-sector economist noted manufacturing eased from July and forecasted a festive-season boost to consumption and production ahead.
