Medical screening and BLS preparedness: trainers must assess health, recognise emergencies, and ensure safe exercise progression.
Trainers should perform pre-exercise medical screening, recognise red-flag symptoms, and ensure gradual loading and hydration; they must maintain emergency action plans and contact information. Early recognition and timely management of musculoskeletal injuries-using postural analysis, the FITT principle, and appropriate first aid or referral for advanced interventions-were stressed. Mandatory competence in Basic Life Support, CPR, and AED use was recommended so trainers can provide immediate stabilisation until medical help arrives.
