<h1>Greenfield Jewar airport set for late-October inauguration; commercial ops to begin within 45 days pending aerodrome licence</h1> A newly developed greenfield airport in Jewar is scheduled for inauguration at the end of October with commercial operations to start within 45 days, subject to issuance of an aerodrome licence by the national aviation regulator; validation flights and key aeronautical infrastructure for Phase 1 (one runway, one terminal, CAT III capability) are complete and ORAT is underway. The project is being delivered under a public-private partnership with an international airport operator as concessionaire, has secured domestic launch carriers, is in talks with foreign airlines on routes and slots, and is expanding cargo and MRO facilities while generating substantial local employment.
