<h1>MoUs to build 150 mtpa Bahuda deep-water port (Rs 21,500 crore) and Mahanadi shipbuilding cluster (Rs 24,700 crore)</h1> The state government announced memorandum(s) of understanding among the Paradip Port Authority, the Odisha Maritime Board and the Sagarmala Finance Corporation to develop a 150 mtpa deep-water satellite port at Bahuda with an estimated investment of Rs 21,500 crore, and a separate MoU between the Paradip Port Authority and the Odisha Maritime Board for a national shipbuilding cluster on the Mahanadi riverbank in Kendrapara valued at Rs 24,700 crore. The agreements, executed in the presence of a federal ports minister, aim to advance port-led industrialization, create employment and mobilize large-scale private and public investment in maritime infrastructure.
