Police recovered multiple SIM cards, ATM cards, bank passbooks, mobile phones, cheque books, a scooter and cash, and allege the gang defrauded victims of over Rs 46 crore across 44 cases. A complaint prompted registration under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and section 66 of the Information Technology Act; investigation and efforts to apprehend the absconding kingpin continue.
