<h1>Officials Urge Hotspot Mapping, Coastal and Transnational Focus, NDPS Act Use, and Darknet-Crypto Expert Cells for Narcotics Control</h1> National anti-narcotics officials urged states and territories to conduct detailed hotspot mapping of illicit cultivation, smuggling routes and urban drug hubs to enable targeted interventions, and to prioritise coastal and transnational trafficking links. The conference recommended strengthening international and inter-agency cooperation, deportation mechanisms, and legal-operational frameworks for narcotics offenders, and emphasised greater use of the NDPS statutory provisions, financial intelligence, mobile forensics, digital databases and forensic tools to map narcotics financial networks and diversion of prescription drugs. Agencies were advised to refer complex interstate or foreign-linked cases to central investigative and financial agencies, create expert cells for darknet and cryptocurrency challenges, and share intelligence for coordinated 360° investigations.
