<h1>Deep-tech startup secures Rs 66 crore contract to supply indigenously developed UWROVs for naval hull cleaning and inspection</h1> A deep-tech Odisha-based startup has signed a Rs 66 crore contract with the national naval force to manufacture indigenously developed underwater remotely operated vehicles for hull cleaning, minor salvage, and submerged infrastructure inspection and surveys. The startup, incubated at a technical institute, previously won a defence innovation challenge and its flagship system reached Technology Readiness Level-9 after testing, enabling naval induction. The company will supply and maintain the UWROVs, touting cost efficiencies and reduced foreign reliance, and recently raised Rs 17.4 crore in pre-Series A funding to scale R&D, protect IP, and pursue exports.
