<h1>State launches textile and apparel park scheme named for cultural figure to boost skills, investment and 101,768 jobs</h1> The state government announced a scheme to establish textile and apparel parks named for a cultural figure to promote skill development, investment and employment; each park must be at least 50 acres and provide common effluent treatment, ancillary-industry facilities and priority infrastructure (roads, electricity, water). Implementation is via PPP or a designated nodal agency, with expedited land identification and development mandated; 659 proposals totalling 1,642 acres, Rs 15,431 crore investment and about 101,768 jobs have been recorded. The government directed engagement with powerloom weavers, continued subsidised electricity and exploration of solar integration to reduce costs and boost incomes.
