<h1>Chief minister orders roadmap for State Cooperative College; cooperatives urged as employment gateways, M-PACS membership drive launched</h1> The state chief minister directed officials to prepare a roadmap to establish a State Cooperative College to promote education and research in the cooperative sector and urged cooperatives to serve as employment gateways in agriculture, dairy, fisheries and services. A union minister praised the state's cooperative achievements as exemplary. The government launched an M-PACS membership drive to connect farmer-families with cooperatives; prior drives added over 30 lakh members and generated Rs 70 crore. Officials reported revival of 16 district cooperative banks (2017-18 to 2024-25) with state assistance, reduced NPAs and restored profitability and loan growth.
