of <h1>Government to launch Rs 29.6 crore NABARD-funded multipurpose project; DPR ready for integrated water project; forest clearance sought for dam</h1> The state government announced imminent construction of a Rs 29.6 crore multipurpose project at Tuidai in Mamit district, financed by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, with a tender to be floated shortly. The Detailed Project Report for the Mat Valley Integrated Water Resource Management and Climate Resilient Irrigation project in Serchhip district is complete and a core monitoring group has been constituted. Authorities are also pursuing forest clearance for the proposed Ngur-Vapar multipurpose dam in Champhai district to advance that project.
