<h1>Three arrested for stealing gold ceremonial urns from Jain event; probe finds melted gold and Rs 1.5 crore loss</h1> Three men were arrested following the theft of multiple gold ceremonial urns from a Jain religious event near the Red Fort; police recovered one intact urn, about 100g of melted gold, cash and melting instruments, with total stolen value estimated over Rs 1.5 crore and recoveries around Rs 1 crore. An FIR was filed and investigators used CCTV and intelligence-led surveillance to identify the prime suspect, who allegedly posed as a priest, conducted reconnaissance and enlisted associates to melt and receive the gold. Further raids are ongoing to locate additional receivers and jewellers; investigations continue.
