He is survived by his wife, son, daughter and grandson. Employed by a national news agency from 1987 until retirement as senior photo editor in 2016, he developed a nationwide network of photojournalists and built the agency's photo service into a leading visual wire. His assignments included covering multiple prime ministers, major sporting events including the Olympics, and earlier freelance work for the president.
