<h1>Industry council to launch uniform rural insurance product by December 2025: Rs5 lakh cover per person across life, health, property</h1> An industry council announced plans to launch a uniform rural insurance product by December 2025 offering Rs 5 lakh cover per person across life, health and property, to be sold by all life insurers at a standard price to boost rural penetration. The council, representing 26 life insurers including the state-owned insurer, reported industry assets under management of Rs 67 lakh crore for 2024-25 and five-year premium growth at a 10% CAGR. A three-year, Rs 150 crore nationwide awareness campaign has been approved to promote life insurance.
