Police say the suspects, directed by foreign-based gang leaders, had been coordinating extortion, shootings and murders, and were preparing attacks on businessmen who received extortion demands. Authorities recovered four semi-automatic pistols, ammunition, magazines, a forged identity card and a stolen motorcycle. One suspect is wanted in multiple FIRs across states for extortion, attempt to murder, arms offenses and conspiracy and is alleged to have arranged shooters, weapons and logistics via encrypted communications. Remaining suspects are under interrogation.
