Excluded voters allowed online or physical claims during special intensive revision; Aadhaar or 11 documents accepted, ECI reports progress
A Supreme Court bench allowed excluded voters to submit claims online or physically during a special intensive revision (SIR) of Bihar's electoral rolls, permitting use of Aadhaar or any one of 11 prescribed documents. The Election Commission urged the court to trust its SIR process, sought a 15-day window to demonstrate no exclusions, and assured that 'not one voter will fall through the cracks.' The ECI reported about 85,000 claim forms filed and over 200,000 new registrations so far out of 6.5 million reportedly excluded from the draft; it urged political parties and booth-level agents to assist and was directed to have parties file status reports by the next hearing.
