<h1>Government launches dedicated industrial authority, Rs 100 crore tenders for infrastructure upgrades and new exhibition centres</h1> The state government announced creation of a dedicated authority to maintain industrial focal points, aiming to address industrialists' operational issues; tenders totaling Rs 100 crore have been issued to upgrade sewerage, CCTV, lighting, roads and related infrastructure. Exhibition centres will be established in three cities to facilitate industry engagement, and a statewide programme titled 'Rising Punjab - From Suggestions to Solutions' will promote industrial development. The government reported Rs 1.14 lakh crore in investments and 450,000 jobs under the current regime, said approvals for establishing industries have been simplified and fast-tracked, and a Punjab Investment Summit is planned for March 13-14.
