of <h1>State government reshuffles police leadership, transfers 85 IPS and 31 SPS, reassigns SPs across districts and units</h1> The state government conducted a major police reshuffle, transferring 85 IPS and 31 SPS officers and reassigning Superintendents of Police in 25 of 33 districts. A senior IPS was appointed to lead CID (Crime and Railways). Several district SPs were reassigned to city Deputy Commissioner of Police roles in economic, special operations and crime branches; others were moved to anti-economic offences, railway policing and state monitoring functions. Multiple district SPs were interchanged and some were shifted between districts. At least ten IPS officers, including outgoing DIGs, were placed on waiting-for-posting status pending further orders.
