<h1>13 year old trafficked, forcibly married and raped; four arrested; charged under POCSO ss.6,21 and PCM ss.9,10</h1> A 13-year-old girl allegedly left home in Delhi, was trafficked to Uttar Pradesh, forcibly married and sexually assaulted; four suspects have been arrested and the victim rescued. Police say a conspirator prepared a forged identity document to falsely represent her as an adult and mobile phones used in the scheme were seized. The accused are booked under multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (including kidnapping, exploitation of a trafficked person, rape, forgery, possession of forged documents, criminal intimidation and criminal conspiracy), sections 6 and 21 of the POCSO Act and sections 9 and 10 of the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act. Investigation continues to trace broader network links.
