Customs revenue for June 2008 was Rs. 8,171 crore, a 13% decline from the previous year, while excise duties fell by 5.9% to Rs. 9,335 crore. The total revenue from customs and excise for June 2008 was Rs. 17,506 crore, reflecting a 9.2% decrease. In contrast, service tax revenue for May 2008 showed significant growth, with a 23.3% increase to Rs. 3,653 crore compared to May 2007.
