        <h1>Service retention for disabled CAPF personnel: continued pay, postings, promotions and a one time monetary package under new MHA policy.</h1> Central policy provides that CAPF officers and jawans who incur limb loss or permanent disability during operations will remain in service, be posted to designated units, and continue to receive pay and allowances until retirement; they will receive a one time basic monetary package sourced from existing schemes or CAPF budgets and access to limb replacement surgeries. A committee led by the CRPF Director General will finalise modalities, relax fitness norms to secure promotions and linked facilities, and address basic amenities and assistive-technology provision for operational readiness.
