Delhi property tax amnesty scheme attracts 59,411 taxpayers generating Rs 145 crore through 2,333 camps
The Municipal Corporation of Delhi organized 2,333 property tax camps across 12 zones to promote the Property Tax Amnesty Scheme 2025-26. The initiative has attracted 59,411 taxpayers, generating Rs 145.19 crore in collections. Under the amnesty scheme, property owners receive full waiver on arrears, interest, and penalties for periods before financial year 2020-21, provided they pay principal amounts for the current year and previous five years (2020-21 to 2024-25). The mayor announced plans for additional camps due to encouraging response and extended the deadline for 10 percent rebate on lump sum payments until July 31. Officials encouraged residents to utilize this opportunity to clear outstanding dues without penalties or interest charges.
