<h1>Odisha receives Rs 10,599 crore railway budget allocation, 12.5-fold increase from previous years</h1> Railway projects worth over Rs 80,000 crore are currently being executed in Odisha, according to the Union Minister of State for Railways. The state received Rs 10,599 crore allocation in the 2025-26 budget, representing a 12.5-fold increase from Rs 838 crore allocated during 2009-14. Fifty-nine stations are undergoing redevelopment costing Rs 2,379 crore, with over Rs 25,000 crore sanctioned in the past year for eight new railway projects, multitracking and flyover works. The minister inspected ongoing redevelopment at Bhubaneswar station under the 'Amrit Bharat Station' scheme. The redeveloped station will feature an elevated approach road, improved amenities including waiting halls, lifts, escalators, commercial spaces, and facilities for disabled passengers.
