<h1>IPS Officer Gets Director General Promotion Before July Retirement After 31 Years Service</h1> A 1994 batch Indian Police Service officer was promoted to Director General rank by the Maharashtra government ahead of his retirement at the end of July. The officer, currently serving as Additional Director General (Establishment) at Maharashtra Police headquarters, will complete 31 years of service upon retirement. The promotion order was issued by the state home department, upgrading his existing post to DG rank. Throughout his career, the officer held various senior positions including ADG of Economic Offences Wing, ADG Force One, Inspector General of Police (Konkan Range), and DIG ATS. He investigated several significant cases, including the 2008 Malegaon blasts during his tenure with the Anti-Terrorism Squad.
