The minister flagged off a new train service connecting multiple districts to improve rural connectivity and economic activity. Over eleven years, the country added 35,000 km of new railway tracks with 5,300 km added in the previous year alone. The minister emphasized expanding railway coverage, modernization with technology, and improving passenger experience while urging state cooperation for overcoming land acquisition challenges.
