<h1>Rail connectivity established by a blast and seismic resistant single arch bridge enhancing durable all weather linkage to the Kashmir Valley.</h1> The Chenab Railway Bridge, a 1.3 km single arch span reaching 359 metres, provides rail connectivity to the Kashmir Valley under the Udhampur Srinagar Baramulla Rail Link. Designed for a 120 year life, it resists extreme wind, highest zone seismic forces and blast loads, and features structural redundancy to permit restricted operation after loss of a pier. Construction used large crossbar cable cranes, Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing for welds and an onsite NABL accredited testing laboratory, and achieved incremental launching of deck structures on combined curves.
