        <h1>Wholesale Price Index shows slight monthly decline; annual inflation eased with mixed commodity group movements.</h1> The official Wholesale Price Index (Base 2004-05=100) for December 2012 recorded a slight monthly decline and a moderated annual inflation rate, with build-up inflation for the financial year reported. Primary Articles fell overall due to lower food article prices while Non Food Articles and Minerals showed mixed movements. Fuel & Power rose marginally on account of higher bitumen prices. Manufactured Products remained unchanged at the previous month's level, though individual subgroups experienced offsetting increases and decreases. Detailed tabular annexes set out group-wise indices and six month inflation trends.
