Raipur, May 14 (PTI) The Chhattisgarh government on Wednesday decided to launch a campaign to enhance the quality of school education in the state.

The decision to roll out `Mukhyamantri Shiksha Gunwatta Abhiyaan' (CM Education Quality Campaign) under the National Education Policy was taken during a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai here, an official statement said.

Social audits of schools will be conducted and they will be allotted grades. There will be a regular monitoring of schools with low grades through officials as well as public representatives, the statement added.

Model schools will be identified and teachers of schools with low grades will be taken on educational tours there. Active participation of parents will be ensured through parent-teacher meetings (PTM).

The cabinet also gave its nod to amendments in the state's Industry Policy 2024-30 to make it more employment-oriented, comprehensive and beneficial for enterprises.

Establishment of quality universities will be encouraged. The minimum limit of investment for building hotels and resorts in tribal-dominated Bastar and Surguja divisions has been reduced, which will promote tourism and provide employment to local people in these areas. Up to 200 percent incentive will be provided on investment in the textile sector," the statement said.

A new logistics policy will be introduced to make freight movement and trade easier in every part of the state, it said.
