<h1>Government approval for a semiconductor joint venture enables a wafer plant for domestic display driver chip manufacturing and job creation.</h1> Government approval authorises an HCL Foxconn joint venture to establish a wafer fabrication plant at Jewar focused on production of display driver chips for mobile phones, laptops, automobiles and other devices, with processing capacity of 20,000 wafers per month, an investment of about Rs 3,706 crore and projected creation of around 2,000 jobs.
