of <h1>Govt Approves 1,500 MW Thermal Power Project Through Competitive Bidding to Meet Rising Electricity Demand by 2033-34</h1> The state government approved procurement of 1,500 MW power from a thermal project through competitive bidding to address growing electricity demand. The energy minister noted the state will require additional thermal power by 2033-34. A power company emerged as the lowest bidder with a tariff of Rs 5.383 per unit. A 25-year Power Supply Agreement will be signed to secure long-term energy needs.
