The procurement will involve four agencies with specific percentage allocations, aiming to purchase 75 lakh metric tonnes of wheat. The procurement of mustard and lentils has commenced, with wheat, barley, and gram starting April 1, and sunflower from June 1. A cash credit limit of Rs 6,653.44 crore has been approved. The state, contributing significantly to the central wheat pool, has fixed MSPs for various crops and aims to ensure efficient operations across 415 mandis.
