This initiative, under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana, aims to enhance food safety and compliance with global standards, benefiting various agricultural sectors. The government has allocated Rs 503.47 crore for 205 lab projects, with 169 already completed. These labs will support regulatory compliance and boost exports, contributing to increased farmer income and job creation. In Punjab, significant investments have been made in cold chain projects, agro-processing clusters, and food testing facilities.
