<h1>Holmium laser enucleation offers minimally invasive treatment for enlarged prostate with reduced bleeding, faster recovery and resumption of antiplatelet therapy.</h1> Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) is described as a minimally invasive endoscopic surgery for symptomatic BPH in patients who require intervention. The technique uses a high power holmium laser via transurethral resectoscope to detach and haemostatically seal prostatic tissue from the capsule, followed by intravesical morcellation to remove tissue, short postoperative catheterisation and brief observation. Advantages emphasised include avoidance of open surgery morbidity, reduced bleeding with earlier resumption of antiplatelet therapy, no fluid absorption complications, faster recovery and long term relief from comprehensive tissue removal.
